DIANNE ŞAHENK

Dianne Şahenk, Türkiye'nin en zengin kadınlarından biridir. Doğum yeri olan İstanbul'da dünyaya gelen Şahenk, 1963 yılında doğmuştur. Babası İş Bankası'nın eski başkanlarından Nuri Çomu'dur. İstanbul Amerikan Robert Lisesi'nde eğitim gördükten sonra, ABD'nin George Washington Üniversitesi'nde işletme eğitimi almıştır.
Dianne Şahenk, 1988 yılında Doğuş Holding'in kurucusu Ferit Şahenk ile evlenmiştir. Bir yıl sonra, Ferit Şahenk ile birlikte, bugün Türkiye'nin en büyük turizm ve medya grubu olan Doğuş Grubu'nu kurmuşlardır. Şahenk'in Doğuş Grubu'na katkısı özellikle turizm sektöründe dikkat çekicidir. Grubun bünyesindeki oteller ve marinaları, Türkiye'de turizmin gelişmesinde önemli etkiye sahiptir.
Dianne Şahenk, farklı alanlarda sosyal sorumluluk projelerine de destek vermektedir. 1998 yılında kurduğu Laleli-Şahenk Vakfı, özellikle çocukların eğitimine ve sağlığına yönelik projelerde aktif rol almaktadır. Vakıf, Türkiye'de birçok hastane ve okulun yapımına ve donanımına da destek sağlamaktadır.
