MERAL ÖZGENÇ

Meral Özgenç, Türk yazar, şair ve eğitimci olarak tanınan bir isimdir. 1953 yılında Samsun'da doğdu ve çocukluğunu İstanbul'da geçirdi. İstanbul Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünden mezun olduktan sonra, öğretmenlik ve çevirmenlik yapmaya başladı.
Özgenç'in edebi eserleri arasında öykü, roman ve şiirler bulunmaktadır. İlk öykü kitabı "Bir Kış Keyfi" 1982 yılında yayınlanmıştır. Ayrıca "Bir Yanardağın Günlüğü" ve "Bir Gece Vakti" adlı romanları da bulunmaktadır.
Meral Özgenç'in şiirleri ise genellikle doğayı ve insan duygularını işlemektedir. "Senin Adın Yeşildi" adlı şiir kitabı, doğa ve aşk temalarını işlediği şiirleri içermektedir.
Ayrıca Özgenç, çevirmenlik alanında da başarılı eserlere imza atmıştır. James Joyce'un "Ulysses" adlı romanını Türkçeye çevirmiş ve "Birinci Dünya Savaşı Günlükleri" adlı çalışmasıyla da büyük övgü kazanmıştır.
